Carpet

Here's a pic of the upstairs with the new carpet installed.  It will be very comfy.  I love the smell of new carpet even though it's probably not good for you.

Form for the front step.
Looking up from the street level (garage is to the right), this is the trench for underground utilities.  I don't know why it had to be so big.

One of our strange looking toilets.  The silver button in the middle of the top of the tank is the flusher -- one side to flush a little, the other side to flush a lot.

Roofs and railing

This is taken from the street.  Looks like we've got some tree trimming to do, huh.

The People House

The Dog House with its new roof.

The Car House with its new roof.  This is the original garage, and for now all we're doing is replacing the roof.  Finally it will be dry in there.  It leaked in several spots ever since I moved into the original house, and after the hurricane it had some serious leaks.  Now the stuff stored in there -- not cars unfortunately because there's no room -- will stay dry.

The Dog Room. I had the tile guy put tile up the wall as you see here in the dog room under the stairs and in the adjoining laundry room to make it easier to clean. The hot water heater goes into this corner, and it's actually installed now but I don't have a picture of it yet.

The Evita Porch with its new railing.  There is also a short rail on the sides of the porch just above that low wall, but, again, no picture yet.

New tile and countertops

As it turns out, it's hard to take a picture of a white tile shower, but here's a side view with some on the detailing. This is the upstairs shower done in subway tile.

Another shot with the corner shelf.

This is the master bath shower. Again, hard to get a good picture, but you probably see that the tile is very large with some smaller decorative tiles inset amongst them. There won't be a door or curtain -- you just walk in. Don't forget that if you want a better view of any of these pictures you can double click them to enlarge. You can also right-click to save.

This is the floor of the master shower.

And now, two shots of the kitchen with the farm sink and counter tops installed.

We'll have two or three bar stools.
